Sustainable Materials for Innovative, Low Emissions applications in the Circular City
SMILE CITY is an innovative cross cutting EU funded project, working and connecting a wide range of people in many countries, including Companies, Municipalities, Public Bodies, Researchers, Technicians, Associations and last but not least, Citizens.
Scope of the project is to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for urban mobility by repurposing recycled materials to build cycling infrastructure and e-bike charging stations.
With the goal of reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting a circular economy, the project involves the development of e-bike charging stations and the implementation of 100 km of cycling paths using sustainable materials, such as end-of-life tires and batteries.
The project contributes to the transition towards sustainable mobility, combining innovation, circular economy principles, and a reduced environmental footprint.
The project will last 4 years during which an intensive activity of communication is required with the aim not only to promote the project itself but to pave the way for an effective exploitation either during and after the project.
